Fire Protection Estimator / Project Manager / Sales

Location: Los Angeles, CA
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $100,000-$125,000 DOE

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Fire Protection Estimator / Project Manager / Sales to oversee estimating, project execution, budgeting, scheduling, client relationships, and operational coordination for commercial and industrial fire protection projects.

This position provides end-to-end project oversight from bid through closeout while ensuring projects remain profitable, compliant, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating

  • Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and bid packages.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for fire sprinkler projects.
  • Perform hydraulic calculations and sizing analysis.
  • Estimate underground fire line systems and seismic bracing.
  • Prepare hydrant calculations and project costing.
  • Track bids, job awards, and pipeline opportunities.

Project Management

  • Manage projects from award through completion.
  • Coordinate project turnover with design and field teams.
  • Track labor, materials, budgets, and schedules.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, permits, and change orders.
  • Monitor project profitability and job cost performance.
  • Support billing and financial reporting activities.

Client & Team Coordination

  • Build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Coordinate with owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and consultants.
  • Attend project meetings and provide progress updates.
  • Work closely with design, fabrication, and field personnel.
  • Ensure smooth handoff and communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • 5 years or more of experience in fire sprinkler estimating and project management.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts and project execution.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic calculations and NFPA requirements.
  • Experience with change order management and budgeting.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
  • NICET certification preferred.
